Constant And NeverEnding Improvement

One of the most powerful lessons I learned years ago when I was starting my , was from Anthony Robbins’ book Unlimited Power. In it I learned of the principle CANI, or Constant And Neverending Improvement. I became a student of small improvements compounded upon one another and knew that I’d never stop growing.

My mentor T. Harv Eker has a phrase, “if you’re not growing, you’re dying”.

Success and Improvement are not destinations, they should be thought of as journey’s.

constant and never ending improvement

I’ve recently met a few people in my weight loss forum who have taken on a personal attitude of success and simply will not let anyone or anything stand in their way of getting the results they desire.

It’s like a switch was flipped.

One I’ve know for a few months now, but come January, she’s taken on a brand new attitude of “nothing will stop me” and another I’ve recently met who is standing her ground and speaking her mind.

I love it.

I love passion and I love when people stand up for themselves and become unstoppable.

I found these two passages from a book on Personal Mastery that I wanted to pass along to readers. Read them, understand them, adopt them.

Always will I strive to be greater than I am. I must SURPASS MYSELF. In each successive act, test, encounter, thought, I will be GREATER than in the one previous. I am what I am now, but in an hour I must be MORE than I am now.

In everything must I exert more power to surpass myself.

and another…

From now on I vow I will try to act the part of a person TEN TIMES bigger than I am now, for by so doing, I construct greater powers in my own brain which will actually build me into such a leader. I refuse to longer be confined by the shadowy walls which heretofore have cramped me into a narrow sphere. From this day forth the word ‘limit’ is banished from my mind.

These are two passages from Albert Lewis Pelton’s book Creed of the Conquering Chief written in 1917 and a powerful testament to the Power Of The Mind. It’s the wisdom of the old books that still hold true today.

I’d also like to leave you with a post that I wrote in the summer of 2007 about vs personal responsibility and where I offer my thoughts on a fantastic book called . I refer it to anyone who’s making the transition into standing their ground, taking responsibility and finally leaving their crap behind.

It’s time to move forward.

Strive for improvement every day of your life. Become better than you were yesterday, become better than you were last hour, the last minute. Keep moving forward and become your best.
