Think you are already familiar with what Nick could possibly teach you about abdominal training? Read what this martial arts instructor had to say about it:
I had a look at the book yesterday and it did not let me down. Congratulations Nick – this stuff is bloody brilliant. First I thought – yeah right, how many ab exercises that we have not seen could possible be out there? Well, you obviously proved that there are plenty of them. To be honest, I only knew one.
It’s clear that lot of imagination, lateral thinking and your vast experience went into this. All the exercises are the real deal – functional stuff. The book is a breeze to read, well-structured and the pics and video clips take all the guesswork out.
Any trainer out there who wants to keep up to date with the latest in training techniques should have this book.

Rob,
Your emails and blog have been very motivational over the past several weeks since I found you. I have been using several of your techniques to change my life forever.
I have lost 40 pounds since November of last year, and getting rid of dairy products and eating live foods has really helped my losses. I am hoping to get down about 30 more to my goal weight of 190 pounds.
I have never been able to see my abdominal muscles, even in boot camp in the Army I was on the “fat boy” program doing situps and pushups outside my Drill Sergeant’s door each night. All of that effort allowed me to pass the physical exams, but that is all.
I have never had those washboard abs, and I desperately need the right set of tools to get me there. This looks like the right tool for the job.
Thanks for all of your support and inspiration. Keep up the good work with the blog and site!
Jason
Hey Rob!
I would love a copy of the book! I have always had a lot of fat in the midsection and I have been diligently working on getting rid of it. I feel that this book would be very beneficial in helping me reach my goals. I have tried standard ab crunches and exercises and I have never been able to get rid of the post-pregnancy (hanging belly) I can see this book being very helpful for all moms out there who want to lose the fat without opting for tummy tucks or lipo.
I would really like this book to help both my husbad and myself to improve our healthy and our appearances. We cruise a lot and trust me that no one really appreciates seeing either of our bellies when we are in bathing suits! Also, improving our abs will have a lasting effect on our marriage as we will be able have more intimate interactions, right now both of our bellies seem to get in the way. Honesty sometimes hurts but in this case it just might save so lives by helping us improve our health as well as our marriage. Please choose us! Thanks.
I’ve been reading your email newsletter for a few months. Years ago I became quite disillusioned with the mega bodybuilding magazines with their super long, low intensity execises and focus on pushing products of advertisers. The high intensity execises of Jones, etc. always made much more sense to me. Seven years ago I herniated a disc doing deep heavy squats. (long story but, basically, my mental focus was elsewhere and I leaned forward too much and the leverage change was too much.) It took three years to fully recover from the surgery. Important lesson: the core is critical and structural damage is forever. Since then, I’ve found it difficult to find good information about how to exercise the abs. I found Pilates and developed a few body weight exercises of my own. Another flareup last year brought back to the basics. Now I’m doing things like slow knee curls and extensions on my back with a blood pressure cuff under the lumbar to ensure form and give objective feedback. Last week I discussed the idea from your newsletter that the abs are stabilizers, not motion muscles with my back doctor and physical therapist. They both agreed, as do I. I’d love to see what you hvae in your new ab manual. Also, for anyone who’d read this far and has an open mind, please don’t do something stupid like I did. Seek out good training information such as you’ll find here. A disc injury is forever…or at least until you’re in your 60s and the discs start to dry out. Be careful with heavy weights and alway strive to improve your form. Fovus on results, not showboating moves. That mindset led me to gynmastic abs but a little inattention and I’m back to the beginning again after about 10 months of down time. Can you recover? Probably. Can you get fantastic results using the information you’ll find here? Yes, much faster than if you try what the supermarket magazines promote. Are you interested in results? If so, pay attention to the things you read here.
Thanks Fred.
Yes, to avoid injury we must train smart and stay focused on the task at hand (not get distracted), and develop a strong core.
When I was hiking the west coast trail in 2004, I was carrying an 80 pound backpack. I had to cross gully’s by walking across a log that spanned the gap.
It was my trainers words in my mind that I kept hearing:
“Engage your core, and keep it engaged”
The stronger our core muscles are, the safer we are at all our lifts – squat, bench, rows etc.
This is NOT just about looking good.
I used to be 7% body fat and could see some nice ab definition… now I’m 18% and am disgusted with my round gut haha. Want to get some tips to get the abs popping back!
See, your other giveaways scared the crap out of me – I’m terrified of regimens that will require me to push my flabby beginner’s body to limits that cause me to pass out at the gym (almost happened – twice – and I need to remember that I can’t do the hard stuff unquestioned).
THIS giveaway interests me greatly. I know that a good core ab workout is key to a workout program. I’m currently reading Body-for-LIFE for Women (Bill is only a little involved in this project, it’s a woman MD who has worked on this book), and when I’m ready to construct my workout (this weekend is the goal), I would like to be fully armed with the best ab workouts out there. I think if this is a set you recommend, it’s something I’d certainly like to test out to see how it works.
Rob,
I’d really like to get on this program, not just for me, but also my husband. We have both hit 50 and need to shape up a bit. A bit? He’s getting paunchy and well, I’m just fat! I want something we can work on together. Toning his abs will definitely appeal to his male ego and I’d love to see him with nice abs again!
In addition, our 15 yr old daughter is on the basketball team and although she is pretty fit, I’m sure we could all do this as a family. Hopefully, it will lead to more activities and exercise together! That would be great. So, won’t you help us with that first step? Thanks!
I am the worthy contender of the best abs exercises because i want to sculpt 6-pack abs as a challenge given to me by my girl. I have lost 20kgs which is 44lbs till now but the fat around the abdominal area is not going and i have to get rid of it for her and think that i should have access to the best ab exercises. Thus i’ll be able to take my fitness level to a new level and also complete the challenge i have got.
Thanks
I think i can use this book to my advantage to get a little more romper stomper in the bedroom, the missus is naturally thin (grrrr) and i’m not, i have have had to work hard to get to where i am and some cracking abs would be the icing on my cake!
Hi Rob,
you have always been an inspiration in what you have been able to achieve and what you are spreading around you…health!!
I am 33 yrs old and have struggled with weight loss all my adult life. I am having some success on your program but the belly fat refuses to budge (the stomach has lifted and is no longer the droopy pouch) still the fat clings on. its important for me to tighten my core muscles as i want to start a family soon.
I would love to get a copy of the amazing ab exercises and once i have a stronger core maybe i can plan for a family!!
Thanks for doing this…i know who ever wins this copy would put it to best use!
Why do I need help getting ripped up abs?
Simple. Years ago I asked Marisa Tomei out on a date and she took a long look at my 280lbs frame and said “You can have a date with me when you fit nicely into a pair of 30 inch waist Levi’s” – she kissed me on the cheek and wished me luck.
So you see, I’ve got the motivation to lose the weight, but I need HELP with getting all the right excercises to get a 30″ waist.
It’s gonna take a lot of work…I’m ready.
I must have this program. I miss my toes! Haven’t seen them for years!
Thanks.
Meg Jackson

@sekssus, strong abs help protect you from back injury. All force in your body goes through the pelvis (oversimplified statement, I know…) Your lower back is the weakest link. Ab fitness actively protects the lower back and keeps posture proper.
