Have you seen the “movie 300“? If you haven’t now may be a good time. The strength displayed in the movie was not far off from the actual truth. But what about the women of Sparta. What were they like? Well, I thought I would do a little research on who were they were, what made them different and what kind of strength they had? What you are about to discover will amaze you.
From infancy, girls were given almost the same treatment as the boys. In their society girls were as much a part of the Spartan strength as the boys. When a new Spartan was born she or he was given their first bath in wine. This was to detect the strength of the baby. If the baby was weak it would die soon after. If the baby lived, it was then taken to the council for a visual inspection so to speak, and yes, just like in the movie, if the baby was insufficient or had imperfections it was tossed over the cliff.
This was a very strong nation by choice, and although their actions may seem strange and harsh to us, it was these very actions that ensured the strength of their nation. In my eyes, the Spartan women had to have the strength of a bear on the inside. I mean, I would have jumped down the cliff after my child no matter what the deficiency was. But I’m a little crazy like that. I’m big on kids.

If you are looking to add some lean muscle and definition to your quads there aren’t many better exercises than the Hack Squat. When performed correct, this simple movement has the potential to carve out some sexy thighs that will beg to be revealed instead of being hidden under those jogging pants.
But you have to know how to perform this movement with proper form, and here’s how…

I’ve made use of a homeopath (or naturopath) for a couple of years now and it made such an impact in my life that I wanted to share it with you. I have been following a natural diet, using Sunrider whole foods and other supplements and just wanted to know what my inner biochemistry was like. I made it my intention to find a great naturopath and was blessed to be introduced to :Kristine and :Michael :Earl in 2004. A full 1 hour long interview I did with her is available at the end of this post.
I don’t believe in accidents. My tagline and personal motto has always been
… anything is possible and nothing happens by accident …
It was through a very interesting series of events that led me to :Kristine which I will write about in another post, but for the time being, just wanted to have you the reader understand that she is probably the most important person you will ever meet when it comes to your health.

The Inner Biochemist
The Simple Solution

I’ll bet you didn’t know!
…I bet you didn’t know vitamin C causes destruction of proteins in your body, which will accelerate the aging process?
..I bet you didn’t know that vitamin C will cause formation of the toxic chemical pentosadine, a marker for premature aging and the tissue destruction?
…I bet you didn’t know that vitamin C depletes your body of many minerals and trace mineral nutrients? In order to eliminate vitamin C from your body you need to chelate every excess molecule of vitamin C with calcium, magnesium, zinc, or other minerals and trace minerals - and that’s the only way the kidneys can dump vitamin C!

…I bet you didn’t know that vitamin C will actually cause high cholesterol in certain cases?
…I bet you didn’t know that the “antioxidant” vitamin C actually decreases the activity of ceruloplasmin, one of your body’s most important antioxidants.
…I bet you didn’t know that vitamin C will convert the mineral iron to a form that damages the blood vessels, and leads to hardening of arteries and heart blockage?
…I bet you didn’t know some people will go into hypoglycemic crises from vitamin C, and in certain cases it can push a diabetic into ketoacidosis…
Are you beginning to get a little nervous about vitamin C or about the propaganda of vitamin C?

[ Hmmmm, The video I had is no longer available, will have to find another one ]
Last week I posted a great video of Dominic Lacasse who has performed for Cirque du Soleil doing some amazing upper body strength feats. I had a look around and found more of him that I wanted to post.
The human body is an amazing machine, work it, train it, become stronger and then use it in a beautiful art form is what Cirque du Soleil is all about.
I was out to see Ka when I was in Vegas two weeks ago and was simply stunned by the beauty and grace of the performers. I’ve only seen one other performance by Cirque and that was when Sunrider brought them to Los Angeles to perform for a private showing for their distributors at the annual convention.
It is my goal to see all the shows.
Enjoy the video clip.
