female stuff

Hi all

I'm needing a little girl love today. Just got back from doctor's. I have a uterine fibroid - two actually - and I've been eating what I thought was super clean, using positive thoughts, affirmations, you name it - to shrink them. I just got the ultrasound results - both bigger. I cried in my car in the parking lot.

I know what I have to do now - go even cleaner with my eating. I'm just looking for some love, not suggestions.

thanks

We need a hug emoticon! :)

Have a good cry (or two or three)! Let it out - the fear, the disappointment and what ever negative emotion that might have found you since your doctors appointment...and know you are surrounded by love (not only your family but by the people here on the forum who care about you - like me :)).

I have a fav quote from Lord Patrick Overton that I tell myself when life deals me a blow:
When you come to the end of all of the light that you know and are about to step off into the darkness...faith is knowing that one of two things will happen: that there will be something solid in the darkness for you to stand upon or that you will learn how to fly.

To me the word faith is not necessarily religious - faith is what ever you believe in...so fly until you find your solid landing - which I have no doubt that you will.

Ahh Dar,
It's always hard to hear what we're least expecting. Especially when we think we're doing everything right. Aren't we supposed to be superwoman?! Focus on what you can control... you're in excellent shape, healthy, happy and doing your body good everyday. Lots of love and positive thoughts flowing your way! Perhaps it's time for a square of some organic dark chocolate before you pick yourself back up and treck forward!!

thanks, that's what I needed

My horoscope this morning said - and I don't get the paper, just saw one at the gym and was drawn to read that - that family and friends would factor importantly today.

thanks - I've had a couple good cries, might have a couple more before I'm done.

lovely quote thanks. Then I heard "Blackbird" by Sarah McLachlin in the car on the way home. Is sort of a theme of mine, that helped too. I'm not broken - I will fly!

Your post touched something inside of me. I hate going to the doctor. Especially for my yearly physical. I will make every excuse to get out of it and I simply hate it. Its to do with my weight and body issues. Once again I will hear, "Lose weight'. Argh.

so let's change that! let's make you say to yourself "I wanna go see that doctor and show him what I've done with my body!"

my doctor told me my cholesterol was lower than he's ever seen and he congratulated me on my weight loss and said we'd monitor my B12 but to keep doing the veg thing if it's working for me.
