Day 4 otherwise known as Thursday has been pretty decent.

I got up this morning and didn't get my full exercise in (I was running late) but I did get some heavy lifting in at work. I moved a lot of boxes of envelopes and checks from one end of the building to the other. I also had to go up and down the stairs quite a few times since we had auditors there reviewing our records all day.

I still managed to eat my breakfast before I left for work. Same as yesterday...two eggs and sausage.

Snack was chicken breast around 10 am and a cup of coffee (I know Darlene, I need to cut it out completely. I actually have cut back to two cups a day from at least six to ten cups a day as of last week.

Lunch was steamed broccoli with some grilled steak strips.

Another snack around 2 consisted of a handful of nuts.

Dinner was two lean turkey burgers with spicy mustard, a pickle and 1 slice of cheese. Another cup of coffee.

Water intake .........120 ozs!

Mel

No, you are doing great. I actually had a cup of coffee myself this morning. It's not that you have to go cold turkey, just move in that direction - baby steps.

For breakfast, try going to a whole grain cereal like a muesli with soy milk or a hot oatmeal. Get some fibre in there and some micronutrients. From what I know eggs and sausage is very heavy protein and fat, not much else. Grains, or an egg white omelet with some peppers, mushrooms and tomotoes will give you more energy.

Well, since I was out of town since Friday I guess I won't bore everyone with all the eating details. The main thing is I did stay on track :jumping

I was afraid that I would not stick to plan so on my way to my sisters I stopped at a store and bought groceries. She was a little upset with me for doing that, but I explained to her that I wanted to stick to plan and that I needed to make sure I had food on hand I could eat. I even cooked a couple of meals for them (lots of veggies)

So I also found some time for a little exercise. We walked a mile and a half the first night I arrived. Then on Saturday we ended up walking around three miles. We also went to a festival/street fair and spent the morning strolling around looking at arts and crafts and watching the local kids dancing. It was fun.

I also wore shorts out in public all day long! This is something I don't do. I will wear them around the house but I won't be seen in public in shorts. Well I did it and the sky didn't fall. I even BOUGHT a new pair while I was out shopping.

I also found a health food store that carried Sweet Leaf Stevia and purchased a bottle. I haven't tried it yet, but I have it.

But I had a really nice weekend. Tomorrow is my official weigh in day. So I am hoping to see some downward movement on those scales.

Oh man...what a good idea Mel...
If you arent sure about the food situation when travelling...Bring/pack your own. That fantastic little tidbit is going in the vault fo sho.

I'm glad that you had a good trip, AND managed to stay on track with some exercise thrown in for good measure.

I choose not to wait for your post tomorrow!!!

Good Morning!

I am ready to head out to work for a looong day. But I wanted to report that , although I am unable to change my siggy weight from 251 I can honestly claim it once again!

I had gained back to 260 over the last several weeks and was finding it difficult to get back on track. I am happy to say that I have released those 9 pounds and am back on track!

:jumping

Ya'll have a nice day!

Mel, good for you! You explained your intentions to you sister and hopefully she didn't give you too much of a rough time. Sounds like your confidence kicked in and you focused on what YOU NEEDED...which is a very good thing...keep it up and you will be at your goal in no time! :benchpress :treadmill :jogging :cardiobike

Sorry I haven't been posting much. I have been pretty busy at work all week. I see we have a lot of newcomers to the board. I guess I will be busy trying to welcome everyone.

It looks like everyone has been doing pretty well. That is so great. There is so much friendship and support here. It is awesome.

I am trying to rearrange a couple of rooms in my house. I am moving my computer/office into my bedroom and turning the spare room into my exercise space. Using a little elbow grease

Anyway...everyone have a great weekend!
