Honor Your Daily Success's and Acknowledge Them

Postby Rob on Thu Jul 26, 2007 8:54 am

There is a practice of acknowledging your daily success' each night.

The practice is to note 3 things you did in the day that were a success... They could be a simple little thing, or some major thing. The idea is to go to bed knowing that you had a great day and to focus on what went well instead of beating yourself up.

So... I'm going to leave this up for a while. If you feel like sharing your success for the day.. even 1.. go for it.

My intention for this thread: to have contributors list their success, and only the success's without comments from anyone about it. Please do not reply to the posts here, but rather, in the on topic area instead. This way, this thread will be full of people acknowledging their success and become a VERY positive thread to read.

Make sense?

Dont have to write a story to explain. The success is your success, no matter how you word it. Just state the success and congratulate yourself

1. I ordered myself an Empower 40 Ladies home gym. It is a variable position weight bench with dumbbells that has a cradle for adding the weights in so us can use the pulley system for legs and rows. It comes with 32 pounds of weights but can handle up to 100 pounds. It folds up so it can be stored when not in use. It is supposed to arrive on August 6th. I can hardly wait.

2. I am reading the BFFM today. I hope to make some major progress.

3. I am writing up my plan of action. My daily workout routine and working on my eating plans.

more later...... :!:

Today

1 - found a new work out partner, guy from my hockey team ask to run with me. We went to the gym today, was weight day for me.

2 - ate before going to the gym, sometimes I skip that bit.

3 - 101 lbs on the scale at the gym. I was shooting for 100 end of July, pretty close.

Jesse - how was your first work out? did you work with a trainer?

This is from Saturday, but it's a gooder:

1. Went to the Edmonton Exhibition and ate clean.. was able to get 2 steak samples and an Olive Sampler... Protein and fat.. perfect
2. Was surrounded by alcohol samples, whiskey, wine, beer, and chose to stay on my abstinence plan. Day 120 or so now. Alcohol does not support my goals, so I'm abstaining for the time being

and from Sunday:

1. Spent a few hours in nature at the park, in the sun, playing frisbee with Darlene and just enjoying doing NOTHING. Very good for the soul
2. Spent the day WITHOUT my blackberry. First time in forever that I was not in touch. Total focus on who I was with.
3. Did HIIT using 3 different machines - Expresso Cycle for 10m15s, Rower for 10 doing HIIT and then Cybex ArcTrainer
4. Beat my lap time on the Expresso Cycle by 15s

2. I stuck to my healthy eating plan for the ENTIRE day! :cheer

3. Found a "kick you in the ass if you don't meet your short term goal" partner...he is an MSN friend...We have agreed to certain consequences if we don't meet our daily goals...

How was your day? :)

Bravo Michelle ! :) This partner is a lucky person ! :)

My day, yesterday went pretty damn well :

1) I've switched form 10 pounds dumbells to 15 pounds ones and made a wonderful routine where I was REALLY conscious of building muscles.

2) Went for a long swim under the stars, and realise, when resting in floating on my back, that I can now see my toes without effort to hide my belly.

3) Had my first ride on my new bike...I SUCK !!!!!! But I'll soon be better :)
