My name is Sharleen. I was a tall, skinny girl untill 6th grade. I started watching tv and not playing out doors and started packing on the pounds. I knew I was heavy but I had myself convinced that I wasn't THAT heavy. A few years ago my dad passed away from his 7th heart attack in a year and a half. I did some soul searching and was brutaly honest with myself. I had to lose the weight! Over the years I had tried alot of weightloss pills and spent alot of money. Of course nothing worked. The one thing I hadn't ever tried was just good old eating healthy and exercise. I joined Weight Watchers (not many fans here, I see) about 2 years ago. I have lossed 177lb so far and still going strong. I am going to lose another 110-130lb. I have never put a number with my goal because I'm tall (5'9") and I don't know if I'll look my best at 150 or 170 or somewhere in between. I used WW to learn how to eat healthy and keep my portions in control. I think with any healthy way of life, you need to be commited to it. No matter what diet you do, if you eat crap and just sit on your couch, nothing will ever work. My life is completely different now. In every aspect. I was really closed off to the world for so many years. I feel like I'm part of life now. I never felt that way before. Anyway, that's a short version of my story. Like I said, my story is still in the making. I am glad I found this site. I am very impressed with Rob and his success. When I started WW I weighed 478. Three more pounds than Rob. Maybe when I feel I'm done, I'll weigh three pounds less than him! (smiling)
