Hey everyone,

First of all, I'm going to start by qualifying myself. I've been struggling with my weight for most of my post-teen life; I was chubby in high school, but around college I started working out regularly and would go through periods where I was trim. Losing the weight is always so much harder than putting it on... I fluctuated, at 6'0 tall, between 195 and 220 lbs for years. Over the last year or so, I've watched myself crawl up to 240. Usually, when I crack 220, it motivates me to redouble my efforts, and I start getting to the gym everyday, mixing cardio and weightlifting, and it works, but after a few months, I start skipping days, days become weeks, and weeks undo all the work of the previous months.

Now i'm back on one of my fitness kicks, and I've been making a serious effort to work out every day. I put in at least 40 minutes of moderate intensity cardio; keeping my heart rate around 125-140, then do about 20 minutes of lifting. I watch what I eat, count calories, and i've started taking fat burn pills to boost my workouts and keep me active. In the last two months I've managed to lose 15 or so pounds, but I've still got a long way to go. My scale tells me that I'm 220.2 this morning, and I'm 27% fat. I'm no math whiz, but I'm guessing that means I can stand to lose another 40 lbs.

I know how hard it is to make lasting, significant changes; so sites like this are fantastic for support, and as I'm reading through the posts I'm finding both useful advice, and stories I can empathize with. I'm going to stick around for a while...

Now that all that is out of the way, I'd like to tell you how I found this site and why, bear with me.

I work in the reality television industry. My job is finding people to participate in these shows, and I've been doing it for a while.
The show I'm casting for right now is called Love Handles, it's a weight loss and fitness show for overweight couples.
It's a competition style reality show, complete with elimination and a huge cash prize at the end, and separates itself from the clutter of similar shows by including relationship counseling to help couples maintain the proper positive, cooperative mindset, and work out the issues that tend to spring up in relationships under stress.
What I'm looking for is a great couple that has a realistic weight loss goal and a positive attitude about the possibility. If this is you or someone you know, I'd like the opportunity to answer any questions you might have about the show, and facilitate the casting process to get you involved.

Please feel free to contact me here, or email me at castingninja@gmail.com

In the meantime, I'm hoping to be able to work out my own weight loss issues, and if anyone has some advice about keeping up the vital motivation, I'd love to hear it.
