My,100 lbs soaking wet, sister decided that she needed to drop 15 pounds before her trip to vegas.
She ordered a program called "Power 90" from a late night informercial. Although she did not lose the entire 15 pounds that she had hoped, she dropped fat and got extremely toned up.

It is a "supplement assisted program" complete with a diet guide. I have never been one for pills of any kind really, so I have opted out of the supplement portion and have been doing my own thing as far as nutrition.

Power 90 is broken into three circuits...sweat, sculpt and an "ab ripper" program

Sweat: 35 minutes
Stretch, power yoga, low impact, high heat, then there is a bunch of kicking and punching. If anything I have perfected my jab/cross and hook/uppercut...this may make me a force to be reckoned with sometime in the future!!!

Sculpt: 23 minutes
There are pushups and various weight exercises that can be completed with either dumbells or a resistance band. I am using the resistance band approach.

Ab ripper: 10 moves,10 reps= 100
I KNOW I have abs because after this they are fuckin BURNING!!!

It is SUPPOSED to be cardio/abs on day one.....Sculpt on day two.

What I am doing is cardio/abs in the morning and sculpt in the afternoon, 6 days a week. Today I plan on purchasing a pedometer to begin the 10,000 steps a day as well.

I enjoy the routines because they are fairly easy, quick, and I can do them in my living room. I feel that I am getting a good workout so far, it is kicking up my heart rate and making me sweat!!!

Now for the bad news.

Although I love the program right now, I know I will grow tired of it. There is definatly not enough variation to keep me interested and I think I will plateau quickly.

I would actually lke to get into the actual gym, with a trainer. I have a few reasons for this.
1. I am the type of person that needs to be shown exactly what to do. I would be absolutely lost in a gym, surrounded by equipment, all by myself. I would FOR SURE do a couple bicep curls, put the weights away, find a bench (or even a comfy spot on the floor) and check out the eye candy until I decided that my "spank bank" was full.
2. The gym will provide more variety than have here at home, no question. I feel that the areas I wish to work on would be better suited for the gym.
3. Being in the gym would allow me to be surrounded by people that posess the "fitness attitude". I like to see strength and dedication first hand.
4. I like to have a set schedule. I do have one set for my program at the moment, however, working out at home makes it easier to miss a workout or two...or three. No one but me will know if I skip out and I actually want to be held accountable by someone other than myself!!!
5. I lack motivation and need to be pushed. It won't be like that forever, but for now I need someone to drive me into the ground.

So why aren't I at the gym yet, you ask?

hmmmmmm good question.
I could say things like...it's too much money or I dont have the time or it's too far away. BUUUUUUUULLLLLSHIT Jessie.
Club fit is 8 blocks from my house. Membership fees probably cost about as much as my monthly smoking habit, and if I have enough time to post on this forum board...I have enough time to drag my ass to the gym!!!!

Truth is, I am absolutly terrified of the gym.
I have actually never been inside of one....not even once. The picture in my mind looks like this: A bunch of extremely fit people jumping around, patting each other on the backs for being gorgeous. Some fat chick walks into their little "club" and all of a sudden all you hear is crickets.
SOOOO FUCKING RIDICULOUS...I KNOW *slaps forhead*
