Today I voted.
Today I went to the passport office and was declined a passport. As much as I wanted to reach in and grab the person behind the plexi glass I blew off my steam and went for a LONG walk instead and refocused my energies.
Today I treated my well deserved feet to a pedicure.
Today I made a double batch of Hummus. Oh so yummy.
Today I wrote an entry for Wednesday's blog.
Today I spoke my mind.
Today I drank 10 glasses of water.
Today I took a cat nap.

What inspires me is looking in the mirror and noticing results. But it gets discouraging sometimes because sometimes when I think I should be getting results, the scale and the mirror tell me otherwise. But giving up is not an option for me. I WANT to look better and feel better. I know that if others have done it then I can do it to. So I keep searching and trying different methods and techniques that aren't too hard to stick with. Because if there's one thing I have finally learned, it's that fads don't work in the long run. I wind up losing weight only to gain it all back again, and then some. So I now focus on the simple things that work over time and produce lasting results. I don't torture myself anymore, but I don't give up either. There is a happy medium...you just have to find what works for you.
