Spicy Thai Almond Sauce

Spicy Thai Almond Sauce

½ cup raw almond butter
¼ cup cold-pressed oil (grapeseed or peanut oil are best)
1 teaspoon cayenne powder
1 fresh garlic clove, crushed


Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender.remaining ingredients and grind well. Serve over long strip of zucchini, or on a crunchy green salad with cucumbers.

why is it a dirty secret? Thai is great and doesn't have to be bad for you if you choose good things. I've been to Asia - there are hardly NO obese people there at all. It is noticeable even from the airport. When I went there, I was a size 8 here - XL there. That tell you anything. Those people know how to eat and eat healthy. Unfortunately our crap N.A. diet is creeping in over there - KFC was the hot thing in Singapore.

Thai food in western areas is much different than in its natural birthplace.
Here, there are more unhealthy additions to the food. Yesterday we ate out at a chinese restaurant and I chose steamed rice and veggies and a small chicken breast.
It is all about choices I suppose.

I was listening to an interview with a chef who specializes in authentic Mexican food. He said he studied/worked in Mexico for many years and the 'Western Mexican' food is different from the authentic Mexican food. I was surprised to hear this but then again, not really...
