Hi there! Isn't today a totally awesome day ;) My name is Scott Tousignant and I'm here to serve you. I appreciate you taking the time to view my author profile and look forward to learning more about you through your comments on the blog posts. About my professional credentials: I'm the creator of Unstoppable Fat Loss, author of The Fit Chic and The Fit Bastard. I am a graduate of The University of Windsor's Human Kinetics Program with Honors in Movement Science '99. I began with an intense interest in Anatomy, Physiology, and Biomechanics, but quickly developed a love for Sport Psychology and Sport Philosophy. It is this love for the power of the human mind and how it can help you achieve what you once thought was unachievable, that has lead to my title of "The Excuse Buster." I teach you how to go beyond temporary motivation or lack of, and help you discover the deep down burning desire that is necessary to maintain the life long drive to developing a lean and sexy body and continue to improve upon it for life. My honest and sometimes aggressive approach (hence the name The Fit Bastard), is the swift kick in the rear that you've been looking for. I have been a personal trainer and certified fitness consultant for over a decade. Currently I beat up my clients in the comfort of their own home. For several years I was the owner of a health club. This is where I discovered that no matter how totally amazing a workout program is and how incredibly effective a nutrition program is... it's not nearly enough for you to achieve your dream body. The magic happens when you realize that they are just a small piece of the puzzle and you treat mindset, support, your values, and philosophies with just as much attention and enthusiasm as training your body. About my approach to weight loss and my beliefs: I am very non-judgmental when it comes to diets and exercise programs. I've observed some programs to work very well for some and not so well for others. It all depends on the individual. I believe that there needs to be more emphasis on having fun when it comes to fitness. Today people view fitness as a way to lose weight. That's not what fitness should be about at all. Living an active lifestyle is about so many other things and weight loss is just one of the outcomes from fitness... but it's not the end result. If you hate jogging and you can never stick to it find something that you enjoy and will stick with. It's all about compliance and when you are having fun with an activity you are more likely to stick to it. I believe that in order to start a new trend where the number of healthy active people begins to increase steadily, there will need to be a shift in how people VALUE their health and their bodies. About my personal life: Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and currently living in Belle River which is a small town close to where I grew up. I've been married to my beautiful wife Angie for nearly 8 years and we have 2 absolutely amazing children, Shayne and Noelle. We all enjoy the active lifestyle. I get a large part of my exercise through playing with them. I love weight training. LOVE IT! As for cardio I try to do a variety of things. It's more spontaneous. Some days I just hop on my bike. Other mornings I wake up early and go for a nice long peaceful walk. I also play hockey frequently most of the year. I have received so many wonderful gifts in life and I am incredibly grateful for everything around me. This has instilled the great desire to give as much of myself and my work to others. A big way that I do this is by offering free books, reports, and audios, as well as loads of information on my blogs: Unstoppable Fat Loss Blog The Fit Chic Fat Loss Blog Ask The Fit Bastard Blog I'm a big fan of Rob Cooper, the work that he does, the message that he sends, and the inspiration that passes along to all of us. It's an absolute pleasure to be a part of this wonderful masterpiece that he has put together. Have yourself a totally amazing day!

Diet and exercise will only take you so far when it comes to weight loss. Quick and Intense Leg Training

My wife Angie is a very busy mom on the go. She doesn’t have time to socialize at the gym let alone even make it there. That’s why when I put her through an incredibly intense leg workout that took less than 10 minutes all in the comfort of our home, she was ecstatic. Like most women, Angie desires lean and tight thighs as well as a firm butt. This quick and effective 10 minute leg workout will do just that.

Effective and Fun Cardio Training

It doesn’t matter how effective a cardio program is at burning fat if it’s difficult to comply to. The easiest way to increase your compliance with your fat loss program is to make the activity fun. Long jogging sessions can be a lot of fun to many people and at the same time seem dreadful to others. I have found a way to make my cardio sessions outrageously fun and the time flies by while I’m doing it. Would you like to know what I do?

Best Exercises For Chiseled Abs

Against popular belief, sit-ups and crunches are not the best exercises for developing chiseled abs and a tight, trim waistline. Yet I see dozens of people everyday in the gym doing these exercises until they are blue in the face. The most common misconception is that the rectus abdominis (6-pack muscle), is the best muscle to work for a spectacular midsection. It simply is not the case…

Applying The Law Of Attraction

Long before the hit movie “The Secret” came out I was a big fan of John Assaraf’s work, and I read Dr. Joe Vitale’s Book “The Attractor Factor“. As I followed John’s work throughout the years the one thing that resonated with me the most was his use of vision boards. I immediate realized how powerful this simple tool could be in my drive toward not only my fitness goals, but all goals in my life.

Throughout my University education in the field of Kinesiology, the subjects that fascinated me the most were Sport Psychology and Sport Philosophy. In these courses we learned a lot about the power of visualization and the same studies that are talked about in the movie “The Secret”. Believe me, there are countless studies out there on the power of visualization!

Visualizing my goals and experiencing the feelings and emotions of already achieving them has always come naturally to me within my sports background. But I knew that I had to give this vision board thing a try.

But…

Spontaneous Fitness

I’m going to be up front and honest with you right off the bat here. This summer I have not followed a regimented weight loss program or a structured fitness program. I have only been to the gym approximately 8 times in the past 8 weeks.

Have I fallen off the weight loss wagon?

Is this personal fitness trainer losing his mind and throwing in the towel?

Nope! I’m proud to say that I am in better shape today then I was at the start of the summer…

… And I’m enjoying myself more then ever before. But how can this be you ask?
