Divorced, overweight, financially burdened and out of shape. Life was out of control. I had been merely surviving when the Body for Life 12-week challenge came my way at an employee meeting.
A chance to take control back of something! And I did. I dropped 23 pounds in 12 weeks. But I didn’t stop there. I set new goals and challenged myself to another 12 weeks. And then another. I was on a roll. By the time I finished my second corporate Body for Life challenge the following year I was down more than 80lbs and had lost almost 20% body fat.
I’ve been maintaining my new healthy lifestyle for about a year and a half now. I’m a bonafide gym rat. I’m back into team sports, there’s really nothing I’m afraid to try. I even had the guts to fall in love all and try the marriage thing again! (A great guy makes things a lot less scary)
The journey isn’t over. There are always new goals to set and achieve.
