@John - I was in Weight Watchers when I was in grade 5. I didn't get any results, but I was a kid too.

for me, and this is just me, I think it's more about the support. Support is EVERYTHING for a good number of people. Having a buddy go through any program with you is great. A whole GROUP of people is even better.

Hey, I'm doing a 25,000 pushup challenge. Do you do pushups? you can register your daily or weekly pushups into my new forum (on my new blog design - yet to be unveiled) and help us reach 25,000 that much quicker. I'm kinda testing the forum software too.

but ya, for Weight Watchers - I totally respect those going through the program, weather it's the normal part or the CORE program. Anyone taking action on their weight and health are taking steps to move forward.

Weight watchers is but one method.

personally? I recommend a nutritional cleansing and fat burning program. I and my clients are getting tremendous results with it. It as well is a balanced, structured program that supplies amazing nutritional components to the body, along with a structured cleanse program that works.

I am sure you have read the recent press on how Acupuncture may help keep those cravings under control for nutrient deficient foods like coookkies.

Fro some reason I've always been biased against WW, but I know a number of people now who have had success with them and it causes me to reconsider.

@Dale - there's a link in the post to the Weight Watchers poll. It's here: Weight Watchers Poll.

The next poll I'll run will be asking about weight lost during your weight watchers membership, and then asking about if the weight has been kept off etc.

I'm curious

Math? I haven't had coffee yet, I actually had to think about that spam protection question! ugh!

Can you do the Weight Watchers poll again? I didn't get to vote. Actually, do it again and see if you can get all those folks who said yes to come back and vote again.

I don't know. WW is OK for first/second time dieters - the program certainly has invaluable lessons to teach us all, but it severely lacks when it comes to maintenance. And calories are too low for long term dieting. There I said it. Sorry. It's true.

My most recent stint at WW - 40lbs in 1.5 years. I switched to Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle, and lost 30lbs in 5 months. I suck at math but even I can figure those numbers!

AND, the best part? Now I can't eat anything without broccoli. I freak out if I don't have broccoli in the house. I won't eat. LOL serious.

The only thing I don't put broccoli in is coffee. My body NEEDS broccoli. It's amazing what you can do when you actually give your body the nutrients it needs! Kinda like the magic pill!!!!!(Asparagus is yummy too!)
