This is my first week of the program…so far so good. I think they teach healthy eating habits, as well as portion control. At least I’m eating healthier than I have for a long time. Just today, I was offered meatballs and white rice at my parents house…holy crap it was 14 points for just two meatballs. I kindly declined and rooted in their fridge for some no skin chicken, spinach, some low fat cheese and some dijon mustard and a high fiber wrap. I had a nice healthy wrap for eight points, and I felt satisfied. They also talk a lot about adding fruits and vegetables, I think that’s healthy. As for their emphasis on deserts (substitutes) and those lovely extra points, if it wasn’t for that i do not think I could do this all the way. I don’t do well on super restrictive diets. This is the first time I feel I can follow through on a diet. Also, on my fifth day, I already feel my body more energetic and my mood has improved. I thought i was going to be all angsty on a diet but for now the opposite has been true. I was weirded out about allowing diet sodas and such, but I just drink water.
In my group, they mentioned the weigh in and the affect of gaining muscle weight. They suggested using measurements and we can skip the weigh in if we want . And you can eat bread! Just depends on the type and portion.
