I am glad you mentioned a mesh covering the tank (depending on which style you use) as the West Nile virus is something North Americans hear a lot about. West Nile is spread by mosquito's and mosquito's breed in still waters. With the mesh covering the top of a rain barrel, this concern is handled. Great article, Scott!

There's nothing in the setup at all that would attract mosquitoes - quite safe. Rob, the next time I build a place (or do some serious landscaping), I'll be looking carefully at the bladder tanks.
