Are there other pumkins besides carving pumpkins? I know, I ask sometimes the most obvious questions.

I tried this recipe today and it was finished by 7:30 Am. Hubby was wondering what I was doing rattling in the kitchen so early. The aroma woke him up!

I don't eat corn so I omitted it. I suppose I don't like to eat a vegetable that doesn't fully digest, breakdown in my body!

I roasted my red peppers before I put them in and used red instead of green because that's what I had! Very tasty soup! Thank you! Now, I have another half of a pumpkin left..what do do with that?

Alisa - as far as I know a pumpkin is a pumpkin is a pumpkin. The only thing different about the carving ones is they are bigger. I've always used my pumpkin after halloween. Roast and eat the seeds, make recipes, etc. We've made 3 recipes already from on pumpkin, probably 4 meals each. Consider it was like $3.99 - that's a pretty good value for your money.

Interesting, this one actually uses a carving pumpkin. I had heard that it didn't have enough flavor for cooking/baking?
