Why Would You Want To Eat Local Foods?
By Rob
To continue on my theme of locally grown foods, this short documentary provides some great insight into a few of the reasons why you would want to choose locally grown foods over commercially grown. Freshness and taste are only one factor. Did you know that most vegetables are picked green and then artificially ripened in the tractor trailer while it’s on it’s way to the grocer? Have a view of this insightful video documentary on supporting your local farmer.
Last week was a short funny video about locally grown foods as well along with a link to a live online discussion with Brian Halweil of the Worldwatch institute.
