That's one of the best changes that I think they've made. I always thought that the emphasis was on whole grains just to give the grain industry a boost... but I could be wrong. The Canadian food guide has at least become a little more clear on what an actual serving size is as well. Nice guideline... Now all the government has to do is step up and help people actually follow it and get some of this crap such as trans fats off our shelves and out of our restaurants. At first I was a bit shocked to see 'sweets' taking priority over meat. But then I gave it some thought and at most I may have a steak once per month. Hook me up with that fish and chicken baby!
