Great article Kandace. You sure stirred up a lot of emotion with me as I’ve gone through something very similar to you. Born and raised in a strong Roman Catholic home I always seemed to have questions.

I totally love the stories and share many of them with my children. My wife is Roman Catholic as well and our children go to a Roman Catholic school. I do want them to learn the stories that I’ve learned, but I also want them to learn the wonderful stories from other religions as well.

I drifted away from the church when I was a teenager simply because I believed that there had to be more. I knew that it had to be more about some other force around us… could be from the Star Wars movies

I absolutely love that line,

Believing in yourself is one of the most important things to believe in. You yourself have the power to change anything you want, make life what you want and it has nothing to do with anything else in the world you have around you today.

So VERY true!

I definitely have a very open mind when it comes to other peoples beliefs. It simply would not be fair to say that what I believe in is ‘right’. My beliefs change often and I love that.

We are all a part of each other and if we judge others than we are truly judging ourselves.

Thank you so much for allowing us into your life Kandace and sharing your thoughts and beliefs and challenging us to believe in ourselves, which surprisingly seems like a difficult task to do.
