The Law Of Attraction For Weight Loss

We think about what we should do, we read about how to do it, we surf the internet for others who are doing it and we talk about it in forums looking for answers and support.

My mentor T. Harv Eker has a saying “Ready…. Fire …. Aim”

His point is to get off your ass and get doing it, then make the corrections as you go along the journey. We spend so much time learning about what to do and getting ready to do it rather than just taking action.

There is so much power in that one little decision, to do something and to do it now.

You should not let another day go by without taking action. You know what to do, and even if you don’t, or you’re not sure, get off your ass and get doing it. This may apply to just about anything. Picking up the phone to call someone that you’ve been meaning to call or asking out that girl or guy you’re interested in, or finally doing the taxes, or in this specific situation, doing something about your weight or physique.

There is so much power in making the decision to take action.

Johan Wolfgang Von Goethe, 1749-1832, Poet, Lawyer, Playwright said:

Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness, concerning all acts of initiative (and creation). There is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do or dream you can,…. begin it! Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.BEGIN NOW!

Taking action opens the doors and opens the floodgates. It’s like telling the Universe that “I’m Serious”. “I’m doing this and nothing is going to stop me”… ” even if I don’t know how this is going to happen or how it’s going to work… I trust that it will and the knowledge, information and people I require to make it work will find me”

It’s very similar in concept to what we’ve seen on “The Secret” about the Law of Attraction. Wallace D. Wattles first started talking about this concept of Attracting what you want into your life back in the early 1900′s and then Napoleon Hill wrote about it in the 1950′s in his book “Think and Grow Rich“. Now with “The Secret“, we’ve come to know the name Joe Vitale, James Ray, Jack Canfield and Bob Proctor. These men have been around for a long time using the Law of Attraction for various purposes, but mostly to improve the quality of their lives. Bob’s famous technique is using this formula. Get a small index card and write on it “I am so happy and grateful now that ….” and fill in the blank. Write a few, use both sides of the card. Write it in present tense as if it were true. Read this each morning when you wake up and each night before you go to bed, even if you don’t believe it. Read it as often as you like.. the more the better. Keep talking to yourself and telling yourself that it’s true until you KNOW it’s true.

See, our minds don’t know the difference between what’s real and what isn’t. Weird eh? So as easily as we can talk ourselves out of something, we can just as easily talk ourselves into something. Tell yourself that it’s true and tell yourself that you’re grateful for it right now. Just keep doing it and then trust. Trust that the Universe will line up the people, places, things, opportunities or information that you need to achieve what it is that you want.Your only job is to recognize the opportunity when it arrives and then JUMP!

In December of 2004, I was sub-contracting as IT support for various clients in my city. Things started to get slow because we did such a good job. We told our clients that if they listened to our advice, their computers and servers would be running stable and they’re be less need for us to support them. It worked, and we began to spend less and less time at their offices. So each day, I’d wake up to find that I had nothing to do. Well.. nothing to do meant I couldn’t bill them either and I needed to have more income from other sources. I’d say to myself each morning “What can I do to make money today”. I had been playing with Internet Marketing for a few years and I thought that I could do better. I began to do more of what I was already doing to reach a wider audience. At the same time, I decided to get as low body fat as possible which led me to Tom Venuto’s Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle program. I got the book and applied the principles on a daily basis. The fat I was carrying began to drop off faster and faster. I had been to Tom’s website once. That was it. I bought the book and took action. That was it. Well, wasn’t I surprised when Tom Venuto called me. He actually phoned me out of the blue. Well holy shit! He asked my permission to include a product of mine, my Bill Pearl interview as part of a bonus for a new product he and Jon Benson were doing called Fit over 40 about Role Models for Excellence. Hmmmmm…. a chance to participate with one of the internet’s greatest Fat Loss Minds and Mentors. It took me about 30 seconds to think about it. I of course agreed and the rest is history. I launched my Fat Loss Insider Secrets, became better know as a talk show host and was opened up to so many more resources. Oh.. and I was able to get as low as 8% body fat using Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle. Read my review and results of Burn the Fat.

Did I expect this to happen? of course. I didn’t know who, or how and it didn’t matter. I just said to myself “What can I do to make money today” and then universe came up with a solution. I am one of a few people that has Tom’s private phone number and can just call him up. We still work on various projects together and I consider him a good friend.

Harv Eker has a saying “Expect Miracles”. Well… expect them.

This technique is taught by Bob Proctor and Jack Canfield in their new “The Science Of Getting Rich“, but it can be applied to anything in your life.

“I am so happy and grateful now that I am 6 percent body fat”

“I am so happy and grateful now that I spent time every day exercising”

“I am so happy and grateful now that I have achieved a healthy and lean body”

“I am so happy and grateful now that I wear a size 6 dress” (er.. you, not me)

I can get caught up in this as well, so I know what I’m talking about. However, it’s that little voice I hear from my Warrior Camp days when I was yelling at the top of my lungs “I am a Warrior, I get Ready, I fire and then I aim”.

So what’s your deal? What’s stopping you? What is it that you keep saying that you’re going to do but don’t do? What exactly DO YOU NEED TO KNOW that’s so important that you can’t possibly get started?

I heard about this 10000 steps a day walking program from my sister. I went out and got a Pedometer and started walking again. It’s a nice break from the Cybex ArcTrainer as I get out into the fresh air, see the sights and even found a lost dog because of it.

“I am so happy and grateful now that I am walking every day”

Have I perfected it and do I go every day? Actually no. Life still gets in the way and as much as I know I want to and should, I have not gone out for that walk every day. I still wear my pedometer and I still record how many steps I’m doing every day as I committed to doing it and every day, I know I’ll get back at it because I know it makes me feel so good. I record my weekly (and sometimes daily) step counts in the weight loss forum.

So what’s stopping you? I don’t want an answer actually. I do however want to know what you’ve been putting off that you’re going to start tomorrow, or even tonight, or later in the day – whenever you’re reading this.

Leave a comment. Be anonymous if you like. But leave a comment and tell me one thing that you’re “getting ready to do” but haven’t taken action on yet. Do not leave an excuse as to why….. don’t justify it. Just leave a comment with “What I’ve been putting off is…..” and then finish it with “… and I’m going to begin …..”

I enjoyed very much reading your blog post “The Law of Attraction for Weight Loss” today (by the way, Hill was writing in the 1930s, not the 1950s), and it occurs to me that you might be interested to learn that a new edition of Napoleon Hill’s classic book “Think and Grow Rich” has been published.

Its title is “Think and Grow Rich!” (subtitled) “The Original Version, Restored and Revised.” I am the editor/annotator of this new 412-page edition, which is really an homage to Dr. Hill. (For several years I was the editor-in-chief of “Think & Grow Rich Newsletter.”)

What I have done is this: to restore Dr. Hill’s book to its original manuscript content (it was first published in 1937, but was abridged in 1960), annotate it with more than 50 pages of endnotes (most of the persons and events he discusses are generally unknown to readers today), index it thoroughly, add an appendix with a wealth of additional information about Dr. Hill and his work, and revise the book in ways to help remove certain “impediments” to reading the book today (language that today would be considered obsolete, sexist or racist). None of these things had previously been done with TGR.

If you would like to learn a little more about this project, a quick visit to http://www.tgr-restored-revised.com will give you some details. The “Editor’s Foreword” provides more complete information, and the “Testimonials” page will demonstrate how well-received this new book is around the world. Here is the book’s Amazon.com page:

    http://www.amazon.com/Think-Grow-Rich-Original-Restored/dp/1593302002/sr=1-1/qid=1172004763/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/103-1493475-7148634?ie=UTF8&s=books

The book is available on all the Amazon websites and most other online sellers, it can be ordered by any bookstore, and it will start appearing in bookstores soon.

Our edition of TGR! is superior in every way to other versions on the market. It is a trade paperback, not a pocket-size mass market paperback. It is 412 pages versus 230+ (depending on the edition). It looks better, feels better, reads better than any other version. It is fast becoming the “version of choice” among Napoleon Hill devotees and other students of success and high achievement.

Thank you for your time and attention.

  3. Wonderful, Thank you. I should have done better research on Napoleon Hill’s writing time line. It didn’t feel right when I wrote that, but I trusted what I read from the source.

  4. Your blog has a nice new look. Brian Tracy’s programs have helped me a great deal on my personal journey of fitness. I think when I weighed 360 it was difficult believing I could weight 250. When I started back to the future thinking and wrote a log of how I lost the weight it really helped. I know some people call this a wish list ,etc but it really helped. Although it took me a year longer than I had planned it really did happen. Take care,
    Jeff

So again thanks, i will definitely return to this blog

  9. Hi.

“Mole” comes from the Spanish verb “moler,” and pretty much means to grind. (Note
the Spanish word for mill, “molino,” and the English-from-Latin word for teeth that grind,
    “molar.”

The most famous chocolate-based moles are Mole Poblano (from the city of Puebla),
    and Mole Oaxaqueño, from the city of Oaxaca. However, mole needn’t contain chocolate;
there are red and green moles that don’t, and I’m sure there are lots of variations.

In Oaxaca, chocolate factories make mole paste to order. They start with cacao beans
and grind them with other ingredients, chief among which would be chile peppers, maybe
cinnamon, almonds, oil, and whatever the buyer might bring or choose to add later.

    Anyway, that’s mole.

  10. I just tried this recipe and its very delicious. The different herbs and spices really complement each other. Highly recommended! Feel welcome to check out my website for free chicken marinas.

  11. When I found this recipe, I decided to tweek it to my own tastes and I ended up with the
    best tasting pancakes EVER!

    Here is what I did:
I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk
    Barley as my grain
then I added a generous tbs of almond butter
and half a banana instead of honey.

Topped with no sugar added apples and cinnamon

    AMAZING!!!!!!

  12. Thanks for this cool informations.

  13. Thanks for the recipe! Been looking for fibrous recipes for my diet, I seem to have a very low fiber intake daily which I don’t really like.

  14. I tried you recipe tonight and I have to say this is the best butternut squash I have ever had! I am a huge garlic lover so I add 16 cloves, and instead of the coconut oil (didnt have that) I used grape seed oil and the best way to put it is wow! Thanks for sharing this recipe!
